Hi, I am looking for a Techniques brand camcorder from around 1980. I have many home movies shot with this camera and I am unable to view them. Any infor would be apprecitated.

Since you don't mention VHS, I have the hunch you are referring to the earliest consumer video cameras which had a cable running from the camera to a reel-to-reel recording deck. If you have reel-to-reel video tapes (I believe 1/2" tape) you will need to find someone with another 1/2" reel to reel deck and then transfer the images to VHS tape and throw your reels away. This is going to be very difficult if not impossible. I have not seen a working 1/2" reel to reel deck in more than 15 years.
