: Hi !!

: What is SLR Camera? How does it work and How do I use it?
Single Lens Reflex (SLR) is a camera with detatchable lenses.
When viewing, the image comes through the lens, bounces off a
mirror, goes through a prism then out the viewing window (and into
your eye). What you see is pretty much what ends up on the film.
The advantages of a SLR are mostly in the interchangeable lenses.
You can install extension tubes that allow extreme close-ups, or
put on lenses that range from wide angle to telephoto. Since
these lenses are bigger than lenses found on point-and-shoot
cameras they let in more light and have a higher optical quality
(less distortion), generally yielding better pictures.
