Looking for manual on the Vivitar 2600 flash for granddaughter.Have tried Vivitar website but no response at all.Can anyone help? Main question is,on the front is the letter "M",what`s it`s purpose?Thx in advance.

Editor's note:

The "M" setting on any flash unit refers to Manual. When the flash is set on manual, it will give the most powerful flash possible, however you will have to determine the correct aperture opening yourself, and in most cases manually set the aperture opening on the lens. Determining the correct aperture requires that you know the Guide Number (GN) rating of the flash - which can often be found under specifications in the instruction manual. GN is roughly equivalent to the wattage of light bulbs, that is the higher the guide number, the more powerful the flash unit is.

For camera manuals, flash manuals and more, Craig Camera carries more than 9,000 instruction manuals.
