Alright big guy I think that if you have the money go with the new Nikon, but if not the old Nikon F-series are real work horses. I've had my F-1 for 5 years and have put it through hell and back. Cannon also makes an excellent camera, I would avoid Olympus and Minolta as names, they are getting better but they are not up to speed with some of the other major camera companies.
