I want to clean the rangefinder on this Yashica, and was able to partially remove the top plate. It's actually pretty easy, just remove the housing screws, the film advance lever, the metering dial, the rewind knob...WHOOPS! That's my problem. I got the screw out and carefully removed the flip-out handle and the spring, but after no amount of reasonable upward pulling on the knob itself would remove it. Not wanting to reduce a very nice camera to a paperweight, I decided to settle for that and was able to at least partially clean the inside of the viewfinder through the back with a Q-tip. I reassembled everything. Better than it was, but not perfect. Camera surgeons: any suggestions, please? Is there a trick to this?
Thanks, folks!
Mike
