: Bear in mind that I live in eastern Tennessee. Is anyone willing to offer opinions about the best place to have ones film processed? Local labs, mail order labs such as Clark, York, Seattle filmworks, etc.? Please tell me why you did or did not like these places. Thanks!
Hello John,
I live in Seattle and have many local labs to choose from. I have never used a mail order photofinisher, but I can understand the advantages they offer to someone who lives in a rural area. Of the three choices you give, York Photo has the least number of consumer complaints based on the various forums I monitor on the web, including Philip Greenspun's http://www.photo.net/photo/ web site. Bear in mind also that York and Clark are owned by the same company.
Other labs which seem to have low levels of consumer
complaints include Mystic Color Labs and Dale Labs - both of
which are listed in our mail order labs index
