Since the Praktica web site doesn't show any information for their consumer digital products, I will go out on a limb and make the assumption this is a digital camera. It has been reported by someone else that Praktica digital cameras are made by Samsung and are being sold under the Praktica, Jenoptik and Samsung brand names.
