Morning Rose,
If those are your only two picks (both 15 year old cameras)I'd go
with the T-70. The Minolta 7000 is an ergonomic mess, very slow
to focus. Really nothing special. They are below $100.00 at the
auction sites already.
The T-70 uses the popular FD mount Canon manual lens system
(plenty available) and in the long run will give you more
photographic experience and fun. A solid camera.
If you want an AF camera move up in years to the Canon 630 or 10s
EOS, both nice units packed with features and newer tech advances
but lenses etc will cost you more.
Buy from a reputable dealer who will offer a solid warranty (see
the ACE dealer list). Stay away from auction sites till you know
what your doing and what questions to ask. And good luck, Frank
