No problem.
When it has happen to me, I put a handkerchief or a Kleenex to
cover the flash head and voilá. Bunch it to increase it
diffusion and softening effect on the light source.
I always carry some rubber bands ans stuff like that on my gadget
bag. You never know when they will come handy.
