So Image Tech is still operating? I sent a disposable 3D camera back by way of Wolf Camera. I hope I get my pics, and I hope most come out OK. I was really excited about some of the shots, but as I have not taken any 3D prints before, I have no idea what will happen.

It's been well over a month, and no pics. When I turned the camera in, they said it would be probably 3 weeks, but that turned into "it could be 8 weeks," and now "3 months"! I hope not...

If the pics look neat, I'm sure I'll want to do more, but it sounds like lenticular photography is dying out. That's a shame, as I've always liked the look of them. I read through the FAQ here, and through several web sites (it took a bit of searching to find out that lenticular was what I was looking for :-) ), and learned a lot about how it works. Pretty interesting.

I found one website where they had software to make your own lenticular photos. It was probably expensive (I didn't see a price), as it was aimed for professionals. I was wondering... how hard is it to get some of the lenticular lens material? Is this something that I could do myself, theoretically? How hard can it be to write a computer program to interlace two (or more) pictures? Sounds simple enough (dare I say it), assuming I can find docs on some graphics functions. The big problem is that my inkjet printer is not exactly hi-res (720, but you know how injets look).
