: Does anyone know where I may find a left handed camera?
: Nothing fancy just an average camera. My aunt is a stroke
victim and does not have enough strength in her right hand to
push the button on her camera. The only advice she got was to
turn the camera upside down. Well I don't know of anyone who
wants pictures of their family with their heads cut off!!??
: Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

There are cameras that are left handed, unfortunatly many of them are now collectable. The Exakta line of cameras were pretty much left hand oriented. All of these cameras are collectable and many times not usable any more due to shutter curtain and other mechanical problems. However, just before the last Exaktas were made, production was started up in Japan under the Exakta name. These cameras were all mechanical with internal metering made by Cosina. These cameras are not very collectable and available for usually under $100. The TL TWIN retains the left hand shutter release on the front of the camera. If you buy one, insure that the meter works and the shutter speeds are reasonably accurate. If you look on ebay auctions they come up every now and then. Good Luck.
