: I have boxes and boxes of carousels but no projector with which to view them. I am looking into buying a projector but don't know which one to get. How do I figure out what will fit my slides/carousels? The slides say "Kodachrome" and one of the carousel boxes says "Kodak Carousel 80 Slide Tray". Please help! Send answers to gbongiovi@lvcm.com
Read the local classified ads and/or visit pawn shops and camera stores looking for a used Kodak Carousel slide projector. Take one of your 80-slide carousel trays along and make sure it fits and that the slide projector works (meaning that the bulb is not burned out and that the slides drop into the projector and the carousel both advances and goes backwards. Slide projectors are quirky things. I have never seen one which works 100% of the time. If you buy a new one, if will cost you hundreds of dollars.
