: Just wondering if this cameraworks with webtv plus?

The WebTV box is not a computer with a hard drive. You cannot install software programs on WebTV and you can not download pictures from a digital camera. According to the WebTV site, Hewlett Packard makes one scanner which does attach to the WebTV box for scanning pictures and flat artwork for web site use, however, you can't edit these pictures or enhance them in the WebTV environment.

All of the following is verbatim from the WebTV site:

Q. What is the difference between WebTV and a computer?
A. WebTV is an easy-to-use set-top box and subscription service designed to enhance your TV viewing experience. While it does provide access to the Internet and email - from the comfort and convenience of your couch - it is not designed to offer spreadsheet, word processing or other capabilities often associated with PCs. WebTV does, however, offer unique features that make TV viewing more interesting, useful and fun, including more than 500 hours of interactive TV programming each week - and much more. Learn more about Internet access through your TV vs. a PC.

Q. Can I download and store software applications or games on my WebTV receiver?
A. No. WebTV Classic and WebTV Plus receivers do not have hard drives to store this kind of information.
