Hi All.
Not too long ago a friend of mine had purchased a lens from a tag sale for 10.00. He has been to numerous camera shops in my town and no one seems to know what this lens would go to, or if there is an adapter for it. My friend has a Fujica AZ-1 and now he is looking to me in figuring out if there is an screw mount adapter that would connect this lens to the camera body. I cannot get information on the mount of this lens, and I have been everywhere from companies, word searches, right down to junk stores with nothing for information. I have also been to sites for unusual and modified mounts and couldn't find anything there neither. I'm thinking a machinist would do the job in modifying or making an adapter, if so my old high school has a machine and metal fab shop, commercial fabrication would cost the same amount as a new camera body, just about.
The name of this lens is "Underground" The glass itself is mint, click stops are smooth, and appears to had been taken really excellent care of. I have included a URL to the lens I am referring to. It's an 80 - 205 zoom and has it very own built-in lenshade, which I think is a really neat feature.
I'm thinking my friend might be better off for now getting M42
lenses, which his Fujica takes. I have found a place for them but
they seem to be in limited supply.
I had also thought about pentax screw lenses but am not sure if
they are M42 compatible?
If anyone would happen to know about this type of lens, that would be great. Thanks for your time.
RJ
