All-in-one Starlite meter measures both ambient light and flash, housed in waterproof case. Other combination meters include Variosix F2, the Digipro F and the Digiflash models. Manufacturer of studio flash, continuous lighting equipment, light modifiers, backgrounds and accessories. Under "Accessories - Electronics", Interfit offers one flash meter model which captures both incident and reflected light readings in 1/3 stop increments. US sales office in Villa Rica, Georgia.

Kenko ambient / flash meter, THK Photo Products, Long Beach, California
Reported as the revival of discontinued Minolta light meters, now bearing the Kenko brand. The Kenko KFM-1100 Professional Light Meter measures both flash and ambient light. Backlit LCD display, ergonomic design. THK Photo Products, Inc. is the U.S. distributor for Tokina lenses, Hoya filters, Kenko photo accessories and SLIK camera support systems.

Konica-Minolta Holdings Inc., Tokyo, Japan
Konica-Minolta exited the camera business on March 21, 2006 and discontinued the manufacture of all cameras, digital cameras and photo light meters including the latest models, Minolta Flash Meter VI, the Auto Meter V F, Color Meter 3F and related accessories. Warranty and non-warranty repair for all Minolta meters is being handled worldwide by Sony Electronics Inc. We do not know if Sony can repair older meters such as the Auto Meter III, and Flash Meter III. IVand V.

Nissin Japan Ltd., Japan
No company web site for Nissin. Manufactures digital light meters for flash and ambient light, including the Nissin Intelligent D2001i and D4001i. Nissin flash meters are distributed in the United States by Dotline Corporation, well-known Los Angeles photo accessory wholesaler to the retail photo trade. Product specifications are in Dotline's online pdf catalog. No direct sales.

Shepherd Polaris brand flash meters, Hampstead, Maryland
No manufacturer web site. OmegaSatter distributes Shepherd Polaris digital flash meters and light meters to the retail photo trade. Dual-function meters for ambient and electronic flash measurement, sync cord and cordless operation, multi-flash calculator. Three models to choose from. Accessories include flat diffuser disc and spot meter attachment. Omega lists them as "Polaris Exposure Meters" but retailers call the brand Shepherd Polaris.

Quantum Instruments Inc., Hauppauge, New York
Quantum no longer manufactures Calcu-Flash exposure meters, however used Calcu-Flash S and Calcu-Flash II meters can be bought online from reputable used camera dealers.

Sekonic Corporation, Tokyo, Japan / Elmsford, New York
Founded in 1951, manufacturer of digital and analog light meters, flash meters and cine/video meters. Sekonic claims the L-7580R Digitalmaster is "the only light meter that sees eye-to-eye with digital cameras" with flash, ambient, incident and reflected light measuring modes. Other flash meter models include the Flash Master L-358 and the compact Flashmate L-308S dual meter.

Spiratone brand flash meters
House brand flash meters such as the Spiratone Multi Range Professional Flash Meter were available exclusively from Spiratone, a beloved NYC retailer and mail order photo equipment dealer which went out of business after founder Fred Spira retired and sold the company to inept buyers.

SP Studio Systems (Brandess-Kalt-Aetna), Vernon Hills, Illinois
Portaflash meters are marketed and distributed exclusively by Brandess-Kalt-Aetna to the retail photo trade. This brand name and registered trademark is owned by photo equipment distributor BKA for photo studio lighting equipment.

Wein Products Inc., Los Angeles, California
Photo accessories manufacturer. Classic Wein flash meters have been made for years "and still going strong". Economic, reliable, analog readout, two models to choose from. Standard model provides readings from f/2-f/22, accurate to 1/3 stop. Deluxe model provides readings from f/2- f/90, and is accurate to 1/6 stop. Distributed by OmegaSatter.com .
