Agfa discontinued sale of ePhoto digital cameras and desktop scanners during 2001 but continues to offer warranty services and product support, including owner's manuals, software drivers, FAQs, troubleshooting tips and more. Makes CanoScan color flatbed scanners and color image scanner cartridges which convert BJC-4300 series or BJC-80 color bubble jet printers into a 360 dpi color sheetfed scanner.
Epson America Inc., Torrance, California
Epson makes flatbed scanners for home users and high-end commercial users. Epson Perfection flatbed scanners offer scanning resolutions from 3200x6400 dpi to 4800x9600 dpi. Some units have transparency adapters. Expression flatbed scanners offer 48 bit scanning in resolutions up to 2400x4800 dpi. The Epson GT Series will scan originals up to 11x17 inches. All units come with bundled software.

Hewlett Packard manufactures an extensive line of Scanjet photo and document flatbed scanners for home, home office and business, including multi-function and all-in-one models in both color and black and white with built-in printers and fax. Photo scanners scan up to 4800 dpi in 48 bit color, some models with slide and negative scanning capability.

Pacific Image Electronics, Taipei, Taiwan ROC
Designs and manufactures a full line of quality ScanAce color flatbed desktop scanners and the PrimeFilm 1800 film scanner for PCs and Mac systems. Primefilm models 1800AFL and 3600Pro feature autofocus and autoloading of entire rolls of 35mm film. Pentax Technologies, Broomfield, Colorado
The Pentax DS6C is a sheetfed color scanner with 600 dpi resolution, has one of the smallest desktop footprints and is ideal for document management.
Polaroid Corporation, Cambridge, Massachusetts
Polaroid offers a wide range of SprintScan film scanners with true optical resolution up to 2700dpi for 35mm negatives and slides and a multi-format model which scans film up to 4x5 inches. Polaroid also makes several models of flatbed color scanners.
Ricoh Corporation, Sparks, Nevada
Ricoh offers a wide range of quality color and black and white scanners for document management with speeds ranging from 5 to 64 pages a minute.

Sharp's extensive line of computer products include one-pass color scanners. Their 12x17 inch flatbed model for pre-press and graphics arts professionals, scans reflective art, transparencies, x-rays and inflexible art up to 1200dpi. Comes with its own transparency adapter.
Umax Technologies Inc., Fremont, California
Umax manufactures several Astra model flatbed scanners for consumers; the Astra 1220 offers 36 bit color and 600dpi resolution. The Mirage and PowerLook flatbed scanners are designed for professionals.
Vivitar Corporation, Newbury Park, California
Vivitar offers a range of Viviscan color flatbed scanners with resolutions ranging from 300 to 400dpi, 24 bit and 30 bit color, and single pass, cold cathode light sources.
