Heather;
Question 1 & 4 are the same. On the right side of the camera under the winding knob there is a rectangular button. When this is pressed up the camera will prefire. The mirror will raise and the shutter will close ready for you to make the exposure.
Question #2, Use a locking or regular cable release and with the shutter speed set on "B" you can press the cable release and count 10 aligators! One aligator,two aligators, three aligators and so on. Or use a watch.
Question #3 Bracketing is making three or more exposures with the first one usually what the meter recomends and the second and third being one stop over and one stop under.
The variance could be different than one stop but usually it is one stop.
