: I recently purchased a Nikon D70. Every picture I've taken looks to be about 2 fstops darker than they should be. I've used various exposure settings including full auto, aperature priority, shutter priority, and manual with the on-camera light meter. I've taken pictures using two different Nikon lenes. I've checked the EV compensation and it is set to 0. The pictures can be edited to the proper exposure: however, I wouldn't think I should have to edit each and every picture. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Or, any suggestions. Bill

I had a bad flash on the D70 I had just purchased but Nikon repaired that quite promptly. As for your issue, just a couple of questions. What lenses were you using? Are they compatible? Did you have the lenses locked to the smallest aperture? As for the rest of the cameras settings, you will have to go through them individually. I suggest starting with factory default settings. If none of this works try your local Nikon dealer for info or the Nikon Knowledge Database.
